MABUHAY! WELCOME TO OUR HOME
CHICAGO, IL - When the sun hits the yellow brick wall around five o'clock in the afternoon, a time commonly known as "the golden hour", our building's facade casts a golden glow. It is reminiscent of the bright yellow sun found on the Philippine flag.
On August 21, 1974, a landmark yellow brick building in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood was rededicated as the José P. Rizal Heritage Center, after the Philippine national hero. The Rizal Center, which became the area's first Filipino American gathering place, celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2004!
